This article is so beautiful. You have a wild sense of humor but I get it. I read an article long ago about how, during COVID-19, so many people filed for divorce. I’m not sure if it’s because they were around their partners more and noticed some bothersome habits but COVID actually has had lasting effects on every aspect of society. It’s a relief to learn how you overcame it. You’re truly an inspiration, and I hope to read more about you and your journey in the future🌞💛💕
This was beautiful to read, and I’m currently in the still deeply love and really miss him and our day to day. Still, there’s no going back. But I do feel so close to him, and after thirteen years it tracks. However, I am really also committed to myself, to thriving and moving on with my life. And the biggest thing is realizing how even with all this to process and craving comfort at times—I really don’t actually need a partner to anchor me. I am loving me and choosing me a bit more each day, and that feels good. 💓
“Divorce was actually my beginning” is such a clear way to name what so many women only understand later. Leaving can still hurt, even when it is right — because you are not only grieving the person, you are grieving the life you thought would make you whole.

Would also love to hear an update from Athina in the future!

So glad you enjoyed the read, it's beautiful to hear that on the otherside, while it's not easy, you're choosing yourself little by little each day
